91% sales increase for Europe's leading supplier of personalised USB flash drives as a result of multivariate testing

The Results

Multivariate testing increased sales enquiries by 91%. We almost doubled our sales leads, in a recession, without having to increase our advertising spend Neil Harris, Marketing Director, USB-FlashDrive

The Test

The Plan

The simple success criteria for USB-FlashDrive.com was to gain more sales enquiries.

With a clear and measurable goal in place, the ConversionWorks testing team focused on funnelling more of the website's existing traffic to make an enquiry and therefore convert.

Step 1 - Analyse & Identify

"Where are we losing visitors and why? What are the specific pages and barriers that are preventing people from converting into customers?"

By using Google Analytics, and by also conducting a thorough review of the site using usability testing, the major problem areas were identified and prioritised.

Step 2 - Target & Plan

Using landing page optimisation techniques, we were able to identify which page elements (such as headlines, graphics, call to action buttons etc.) needed changing and testing.

From this point, a testing plan was collated, prioritising the most damaging problem areas to be tackled first.

Step 3 - Test

Multivariate tests were run using Google's Website Optimiser software, installed and configured by our authorised consultants.

Step 4 - Analysis of the Results

Our analysts reviewed the multivariate test results in detail with our landing page optimisation experts to identify the key learnings and opportunities for future improvement.
