My Slides from BrightonSEO 2017

Friday 7th April saw the return of BrightonSEO – a search marketing conference that brings together 3,500 search professionals from across Europe, for a jam-packed day of presentations from some of the best speakers in the industry.

With glorious sunshine and unseasonably warm temperatures, the temptation to hop across the road from the Brighton Centre to the beach was very real! But a super line-up of relevant and engaging talks held our concentration and we came away with some interesting learnings.

Shortly after lunch, it was my turn in the spotlight. I took to the stage of the Paid Search track to talk about AdWords optimisation for lead generation campaigns. Specifically, I focussed on how to implement measurement to allow for offline conversion attribution with online enquiry. I also talked through techniques for re-engaging with existing customers (that have converted offline) to encourage cross-sales and repeat purchases.

With artificial intelligence (AI) becoming an increasingly hot topic for digital marketers, our stand-out presentations for the day were those that focussed on the future of search – including:

  • Raj Nijjer from Yext talking about AI and voice search
  • Purna Virji from Microsoft talking about the rise of visual search
  • Vikas Arora from Bing Ads talking through key trends that are shaping the future of search

Roll on September and the second instalment of BrightonSEO for 2017 (and long may the sun shine over Brighton beach in the meantime!).
